Uri Lichtenfeld joined CSS in 2009 to open its NY offices and expand its presence in this key market. Since then, Uri’s role has grown to include responsibility for CSS’ business development and alliance strategy. In this role, Uri reports to the CEO and helps define CSS’ strategy across its services delivery arm and IP portfolio, as well as establish and maintain fruitful business relationships with relevant industry players.
Prior to CSS, Uri worked for Microsoft Corporation holding a variety of Product Management roles in the security business group – Forefront. Having joined Microsoft through its acquisition of Whale Communications, Uri’s role oversaw the onboarding of Whale’s product into Microsoft’s growing portfolio of enterprise security products. Uri drove business management, field enablement, OEM partner relations, evangelism, product planning and strategy through its new release. Later on, Uri took ownership of the Secure Collaboration and Information Protection solutions and worked closely with the Windows Client, Windows Server and SharePoint teams to better integrate Microsoft’s security portfolio into its sales and marketing operations.
Prior to Microsoft, Uri spent over 7 years at Whale Communications holding a variety of business and technology roles from Sales Engineering Manager through Director of Services, and finally Director of Business Development. In these roles, Uri played a key part in the company’s major sales, product growth and subsequent acquisition by Microsoft.
Uri’s career started in the Israeli military where he held a variety of product development and management roles focused on the military’s HR and personnel management.
